Admissions Procedures Checklist:
(The following steps must be completed before a student is considered enrolled in WCA.)
1. Read all information, especially the Statement of Faith, the Philosophy of Education, and the
Statement of Cooperation (found in the Parent / Student Handbook)
2. Pray about your decision to send your student(s) to West-Mont Christian.
3. Send in the Registration Form and the Financial Contract along with the registration fee
($100 for each student) to the school office.
4. Schedule the Parent/Administrator Conference (call 326-7690 two or three days after sending in the
registration forms).
5. Attend Interview. (If a student is in middle school or high school, they are required to be at
the interview.) Bring past report cards or transcripts, discipline records, etc. to the interview.
6. Admissions Committee reviews information from the interview and notifies parents of the student's
preliminary acceptance (or requests a second interview with the parents and student).
7. Parents of kindergarten students must also return a health history form.
8. Attend mandatory orientation meeting (in August) for parents and for students of middle school and
high school.
9. Schedule a meeting with the Academic Student Advisor for students in grades 6-12 to determine the student's class schedule. Students at all levels may be required to take placement exams.
10. Put school calendar items on your family calendar.
11. Contact your local school district to arrange bus transportation. (typically districts will notify families of actual transportation schedules one week prior to the opening of school.)
Waiting List: Occasionally, West-Mont is forced to place potential students on a waiting list if there is insufficient space available in a particular grade level. Students on the waiting list are given first priority when the period of open enrollment begins.
