Missions Program

West-Mont sponsors a yearly short-term mission trips for students. The purpose of these trips is two-fold. The first is to demonstrate the love of Christ to others. This can be accomplished by working in feeding centers, orphanages and prisons. Additionally, street theater dramas, vacation bible schools and one-on-one witnessing are part of these mission trips. The second purpose is to birth or strengthen a personal vision of Christian service in the heart of every student participating.

St. Vincent Island (Caribbean)
Trip Focus: Construction and ministry at a native run Bible College (St. Vincent is an impoverished Caribbean island.)

Washington D.C.
Trip Focus: Evangelical outreach in low income areas of the capital, work as feeding centers.

Guadeloupe (Caribbean)
Trip Focus: Ministry and evangelical outreach on this french speaking island.

New York City, NY
Trip Focus: Vacation Bible School, construction and ministry at a Bible Fellowship Camp - trips to low income areas of the city for evangelism and ministry

Guatemala (Central America)
Trip Focus: street theater evangelism, prison evangelism, feeding center and orphanage assistance, assisting at christian schools and vacation bible school programs.

Wildwood, N.J.
Trip Focus: A whole week of direct beach and boardwalk evangelism, prayer counseling.

Boston Massachusetts
Trip Focus: Service and ministry including street evangelism.

Panama
Service and evangelism in villages within the Panamanian jungle.

Mississippi - Gulf Coast
Disaster Relief and Christian school reconstruction following Hurricane Katrina.

Belize - Central America
Service and evangelism in Red Bank, Belize

WCA's emphasis on Missions begins in Kindergarten and gradually expands throughout the elementary and middle school programs, and culminates in a very successful high school missions program.

Recently, West-Mont has scheduled international trips on an every-other-year basis. However, each year the missions program also runs a week-long "Summer Camp" program for local underprivileged children.
