Prayer & Reflection
Prayer plays a huge part in West-Mont spiritual life. Prayer has the power to bring the West-Mont family together and accomplish things we never thought possible!
It’s not often you can go to a Christian school and see staff praying for students in the hallways, but it happens at West-Mont on a regular basis. If a faculty or staff member sees a need, they will engage with the student immediately, and join with them in prayer and petition to the Lord. Our staff understand that our greatest work with our students is in prayer. The Word tells us in Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Each day at West-Mont begins with all Staff and Faculty arriving early to join together for a time of scripture reading and prayer for students by name. This personal attention to each student’s needs are of primary importance to each employee at West-Mont, whether they be the facilities staff or school administrator.
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."
1 John 5:14
See You at the Pole
This annual student-led event is a global day of prayer. Each year, millions around the world pray on their school campuses during the fourth Wednesday in September. As one of our students prayed this day, "Lord, there is nothing you can't do".
