BIKE RIDES WITH MR. BOWMAN
Every summer, Mr. Bowman coordinates one or two bike rides per week with family and friends of WCA. Emails will go out regularly with times, dates, locations, and difficulty levels of the rides. The descriptions in these emails will allow each family to decide which rides they are able to attend. There will be rail-trail/road rides from 10-30 miles, and mountain bike rides from 5-12 miles, all at different paces. If you would like to be on the mailing list for ride information, email Mr. Bowman at email@example.com. Being on the mailing list does not commit you to any rides.
BOOK DONATIONS NEEDED
The WCA MS/HS Library is in need of current autobiographies and biographies. Any autobiography or biography would be appreciated. We are also looking for copies of Soul Surfer, written by Bethany Hamilton. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions, and drop off to secretaries in both buildings.

Large or Small
WCA High school teacher, Mr. Smith, has been painting during summers for 25 years in the Central and Lower Bucks County area, but is now moving to Birdsboro in two weeks.
Work will be neat, clean, and done right for less than hiring a contractor.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM
June 27 - July 24
We have partnered with an organization to bring a group of Spanish students to our area this summer for the opportunity to improve their English and learn more about American culture. The group will attend regular ESL classes at West-Mont Christian Academy during the week, enjoy frequent day trips to local and regional attractions, and spend quality time with their host family on the weekends.
Long Term Host Families Needed • 2017-18 School Year
($900 Monthly Stipend)
We are still looking for long term host families who are willing to bring the mission field into their home, and provide a loving, caring environment for international students as they study in the United States. At the current time we are seeking a host family specifically for a high school boy.
If you are interested in hosting a short or long term student, or if you would like to review a copy of the tentative itinerary for the group from Spain, contact Beth Wisler at firstname.lastname@example.org. We also value host family referrals, so please forward this information to anyone you feel might be interested in these opportunities.

SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENTS &
Our summer reading requirement is designed to help your children bridge the gap in learning between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next one. It is also our hope that students will select summer reading books they are interested in and enjoy reading at a pace they can set. Experts agree that children who read during the summer gain reading skills, while those who do not often regress. Summer is a great time to encourage your children to remain active in learning in all areas through many creative outlets. Follow this link to access grade specific, detailed information regarding our summer reading program. There are also supply lists for next school year included on the summer reading page.

• B – Block: apply sunblock even on a cloudy day, and reapply after swimming, sweating or using a towel.
• C – Cover: wear sun protective clothing and a full brim hat when possible.
HELP ILLUMINATE OUR STUDENTS’ EDUCATION! West-Mont will be replacing ALL fluorescent lighting with LED lighting, which is more cost and energy efficient.
To help make this a reality, you can sponsor a classroom, shared space, or individual outdoor lights! Follow this link for sponsorship pricing and levels of giving. We will also need skilled electricians to aid with installation. Email Christie.Werkheiser@west-mont.org with questions.
