FOOD DRIVE HOSTED BY NHS

February 1-13

As we move further from the holidays, food banks begin to receive fewer donations. West-Mont had a successful food drive in December, and now the National Honor Society is hosting another one. This time, the food drive is a competition!

Each grade is encouraged to contribute as many nonperishable food items as possible. The grade that donates the most items will be rewarded with a pizza party! The items can be placed in boxes in each classroom; for MS/HS grades, the collection boxes will be in each grade mentor's classroom.

The food drive will only run from Friday, February 1 - Wednesday, February 13. We are excited to see how much we can collect in this short period of time!

HOST A STUDENT FROM JAPAN • March 20 - 27

We are very excited to inform you that WCA has the opportunity to host a group of 36 8th and 9th grade students from Japan, on a short-term basis from March 20-27, 2019! Having international students in our student body provides a rich, cultural experience for our own students, and an opportunity for the international students to experience the love of Christ through our school family. In order to make our international program a success, we are looking for short-term host families who are willing to bring the mission field into their home, and provide a loving, caring environment for these students as they visit the United States. Qualified short-term host families will receive a stipend to offset the cost of meals and transportation, and school busing can be arranged in some districts along with carpooling assistance. If you have any questions or would like to host a student, please contact Rosanne Kelsall, Group Director of BWI, at rkelsallinternational@gmail.com or (215)206-9815.

PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

We are already preparing for events and enrollment for the 2019-20 school year. Also, if you know anyone who may be interested in exploring what West-Mont has to offer for preschool or kindergarten, please email their contact information (with permission), and we will reach out to them with details in the coming months.
