SERVING
THE COMMUNITY

Teaching the mind, discipling the heart, serving our community.

FOR EVEN THE SON OF MAN CAME OUT TO BE SERVED BUT

TO SERVE, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM FOR MANY.

MARK 10:45

As the mind and the heart are developed, seeing needs in our community and moving to meet them becomes second nature. The New Testament is clear, to love Christ is to serve others. This means if we are to truly accomplish the mission God has laid out for us, we must teach our students how to live out their faith in an authentic, real world setting. They must learn how to see their communities as Jesus does and be willing to do something to effect change.

At Alliance Christian School District, this means service to our community is not something that is a separate activity or a nice thing we do a few times a year. It means we intentionally build service right into our core curriculum. It means we not only provide students with opportunities to serve, we teach them how to design their own projects that benefit their communities in meaningful and sustainable ways.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

My logistics manager said that your group of students were some of the best workers she has ever seen in a group of volunteers. We would be so glad to host any type of
volunteer group from your schools.
